Thousands came and thousands went. Millions were killed. Trillions were stolen. But Hindustan is still here. Proud to belong to the world’s oldest and wisest civilisation. We will never die. 🇮🇳

This video tells a lot about how our ancestors suffered a lot under colonial rules and foreign invasions. Indeed a very emotional video...Proud of our hard-working ancestors.

India never deserved what it has gone through, these are our forefathers who worked this hard. No money, no security, still carrying smiles! I am emotional right now. We will get what is rightfully ours, time has already begun.🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

ये तस्वीरे न जाने कितने के दर्दों को राह देते हैं
भारत माता के बंधे थे जब हाथ, ये उन दिनों के गवाह देते हैं।

What mesmerises me more than the pictures of buildings and architecture is the pictures of people. How they looked, what they wore, how they lived. When you think that all of those individuals lived a complete life just like yours more than a century ago, you feel the connection. Even though they look somewhat different, not how we look today, still they are the same.

In 2019, a study published in the journal, Geophysical Research Letters, suggested that the Bengal Famine of 1943 which led to the death of more than 3 million people, was not caused just by drought but also due to complete policy failure on part of then-British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

Our ancestors really suffered a lot. We are only just getting started and I hope these noble people are looking down on today’s India and smiling. The best way to honour their legacy is to make India as beautiful and powerful as we can. We owe it to them. Jai Hind. 🇮🇳

These pictures and the way you put them in colourised version, one by one, with that kind of background music.... This was awesome. Really touched my soul as an Indian!... Thanks very much, sir!... Instantly subscribed your channel for this.

It is refreshing to see how these places looked like without plastic litter and ugly advertising sign boards. Nainital was so picturesque back then.
