When i was a model, many makeup artists would tell me that i have a heart shape face. This interested me and i began researching into face shapes, the more information i gathered, the more i realised that i dont have a heart shaped face. Judging between a heart shape or the diamond shape can be a very close call. In basic terms the heart shape has a wide forehead and a narrow jawline with wide cheekbones and the diamond has a narrow forehead and jawline with wide cheek bones. The problem is finding your face shape is not that simple and is actually much like finding your kibbie body i.d. just like the kibbie body i.ds the structure should be only compared to itself. Journeying back to the diamond and the heart shape and the differences, the forehead of the heart shape can be slightly narrow but its the diagonal outline from the cheek bones to the forehead that creates the difference. Is the diagonal exaggerated ? For instance a heart shape has wide cheek bones and can have a slightly narrow forehead and if you exaggerate one of those (narrower forehead or wider cheekbones) then the heart shape would be a diamond . If you was to just make the forehead a little wider it would still be a heart shape face, make the forehead even wider or make the cheek bones a little narrower you will have an inverted triangle. Looking at the face shapes in a simple way like i mentioned at the beginning is like finding your a Gamine in kibbie but not finding out if your SG or FG . Hope this helps someone x
