Startup SG Founder programme offers higher grants, mentorship support for first-time entrepreneurs

Enhancements to the Startup SG Founder programme will see grant support raised to S$50,000 from the current S$30,000. The support programme is aimed at assisting first-time start-up entrepreneurs and encouraging new businesses in Singapore. Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing said start-ups play a key role in the current economic climate. To date, 1,600 start-ups have come on board the SGUnited Jobs and Skills programmes, offering over 4,600 jobs and 860 traineeships to local jobseekers.
