I mean he was on the breaks for about 3sec and the rest of the lap was full throttle

Scary to think back in the 1950s they were running on this track on what were basically bathtubs filled with high-octane petrol and whose contact patch with the tarmac were little more than bicycle wheels.

Turn one looks terrifying! One touch of that curb and you’re either going into a tree or falling down a hill off the track

The WRC still uses part of the old track for their rally stages. Really cool to see Rally cars yeet it around the old banked corner

It was supercool to see cars passing 2 times in main straight for each lap.. and see cars divided by a "wall", make a video with a race in it! ;P

It looks scary behind the screen, sink now on the fact they actually raced there with way safeless cars back then. Pilots were insane.
