You forgot: "Your English is very good", "Do you like rice?", "Are you Chinese or Japanese?" ...

Embrace the beauty of cultural exchange. During my time living in Asia, the locals would often ask to take pictures with me, touch my hair, inquire about my origins, and express admiration for my features. Despite the fact that they were often using broken English and I would answer back in Korean, I never took their curiosity as a personal slight. Instead, I felt honored to be there in the first place, recognizing that encountering a 6'2 blonde with blue eyes was a rare occurrence for many of them. This daily exchange only deepened my appreciation for the unique and rich cultures around the world.

I couldn't relate more. It's so hard for me especially since I'm adopted and never know anything about China or china's culture. My adoptive parents are Swedish. When I say I'm just Swedish, they always have to push with where are you really from? Do you know Chinese?

I was bullied for this growing up, which led to me having trouble with my identity.

Edit
I do not blame anyone for this and I'm not calling anyone out for asking. This is just how my experience has been. It's obviously not wrong asking where you're from. As I've said in other comments before it gets repetitive when people push with it, for example on job interviews I've been asked where I'm from who my parents, which is not relevant anything work related.

Also someone say that I blame *whites*, which is not what I'm aiming at. Or how did that even come up xP

That "No, where are you REALLY from?" Is like a punch in the guts when I was kid. Now, I just say it back to them.

Ugh my mother is like the white people in this vid and it drives me nuts. I went to a very mixed racial school so I never thought twice about people from different heritages. We all just got along or we didn’t, that was it.

My friend is from the Dominican Republic and he came to visit once. The first thing my mom said was “I made Spanish rice for dinner! Figured it would remind you of home”…like mom he moved to the US when he was an infant, this IS his home 💀

I introduced my Korean boyfriend to my white friends and the first thing they said was "ni hao" 🤡 and they repeatedly said that every time he reentered the room.
Ni hao is Chinese. He's KOREAN. We're not friends with them anymore. 🙃

The last one is so true, I was in class today and this kid came up to me and said, “Are you Chinese?” (Of course I said yes because I am) “ What kinds of dogs have you eaten?”

The "where are you really from" thing irks me, I asked it when I was a kid cause I didn't know any better but I learned not to phrase it like that when I was 10 when my friend (who's Korean) told me it wasn't nice to ask it like that and so thankful for her
