The Metropolitan Opera: Mary Zimmerman and Rusalka

Prior to the opening of the Met’s new production of Rusalka on February 2, general manager Peter Gelb and maestro Mark Elder joined director Mary Zimmerman to discuss her approach to Antonín Dvořák’s operatic fairy tale. Met stars Kristine Opolais, Jamie Barton, and Eric Owens performed excerpts accompanied on piano by assistant conductor Bryan Wagorn. Recorded on January 23, 2017.
