Tip for you David, when you take a taxi in Bangkok.. they all have a meter on top of their dashboard.. your driver’s meter was covered by a cloth!! Anyway always ask the driver to use the meter.. it will always be at least half the price compared to an agreed fare.. if he doesn’t want to use the meter just get out and you’ll find another taxi very quickly as Bangkok is full of taxis!! I enjoy your trip reports btw..

Just so you know, Khao San Road is not Bangkok’s downtown. It’s actually a place for backpackers and budget travellers. The best way to get to Suvarnabhumi Airport is taking the Airport Rail Link Train.

By the way, THAI AIRWAYS is always a great choice to fly with.

That's awesome that you had the "Economy Suite" on such a long flight! I was lucky enough to have the same thing happen when I made my last flight review with American Airlines from New York to London on their 777. It really makes such a difference when no one's sitting next to you (it's also a lot less awkward when filming!).

Love the Thai colours ! I cannot imagine too many people flying from Thailand to Austria so no surprise you had a row to yourself! Thai seem to have lifted their service levels and food on most flight reviews I have watched recently! I must say the food looked great...hope it tasted the same! A most excellent review David! I realised the flight wasn't very full. Are they many empty seats onboard? Always love your trip report. Beautiful Review and as always @thaiairways offers a perfect flight everytime ! I love the blanket wrapper tip as I also use the wrapper for trash through the flight ! Airlines should actively promote passengers to do this !
