I wished they made a movie about Morpheus as main lead ..his backstory how he discovered matrix etc etc..it wud be cool ..Morpheus is a badass character

The similarities with Morpheus, and John The Baptist is hard to ignore...anybody else realize the reason Neo had to sacrifice himself, and die was because when he killed Agent Smith he killed the negative version of himself...Neo was both the virus, and the savior...the perfect anomaly to keep the Matrix going when he basically commits suicide

Who else is still hoping that Laurence Fishburn was secretly cast in Matrix 4 ? You just can't kill such an important character off screen unless you have a big problem with the actor which doesn't seem to be the case, it would be so disrespectful. I still have hope. Another big problem if Laurence doesn't come back is that you have the two most talented actors of the franchise not coming back(Laurence Fishburn and Hugo Weaving). No disrespect to the other members of the cast, I love them but Laurence and Hugo are definitely on an other level, there is something Shakespearian/theatrical in there acting, I don't know but you get it. Imagine a sports team getting rid of its two best players before the season starts, not a good sign for the season. Lastly, as much as I like Hugo, I think it would have been lazy to have him again as the antagonist, however Morpheus could still be a very interesting figure in many ways, hero or vilain. I still have hope of a big "Ta daaa he s here!"

This is very interesting. It seems that what eventually became the whole "5 previous versions of The One and past interations of the matrix" twist was evolved from this more simple concept that originally Neo's "predecessors" were just potentials who were led to believe they were the one and died. And most likely Morpheus' line about "everyone" who fought an agent has died, but where they "failed" Neo will succeed originally was referring to Neo's predecessors

In their private conversation aboard the hovercraft, Cypher tried to turn Neo against Morpheus.

This version of the simulation went the way it did, differently than the others because of Smith. Without him as Neos bargaining chip, there would have been no reason for deus ex machina to strike a deal with Neo. And because of that, Neo was able to save the remaining Zion inhabitants. It’s basically all the pieces had to align perfectly for it to turn out the way it did, as in different than before. Just like Smith said to himself after Neo beat down the three upgraded agents.
“That went as expected.”
“It’s happening exactly as before.”
“Well, not exactly.”

And due to that change, everything else had to fall into place perfectly for Neo to be able to do what he did.

I just realized that with Cypher saying "After 9 years, " he probably was unplugged at too old of an age too. The actor who played Cypher was pushing 50 when the movie came out.

I think its interesting how Morpheus thought he found the one 5 previous times before finding Neo, and that Neo is also the 6th Anomaly. Maybe just a coincidence.

Every character and their story is a symbol/ archetype for each element of the journey of waking up.
Morpheus in greek mythology is "the son of sleep who appears in dreams in human form"
Morpheus for me is the personification of belief and faith and he shows us the pitfalls and benifit associated with it.
In terms of waking up Morpheus has put Neo further into slumber.

‘One day, you will meet the one..’ when I first saw that film and this quote was used by Trinity, I was just thinking about how most girls and boys looking for their soul-mate they describe this a ‘looking for the one’ -

It took some searching but I eventually found it.
This (3:08) is what I thought of after seeing the trailer for TM: Resurrections.
I think the actor in TM:R looks like Morpheus in the picture timestamped.
