I found out that Cillian Murphy, Michael Fassbender and now Neil Jordan often say "you know" as they`re telling something. Is it an Irish thing?

I remember watching company of wolves and then reading night in Tunisia stories. Later Angel, Mona Lisa, crying game. I found them amazing both books and movies. Absolutely brilliant. But in the last twenty years he hasn't written or directed anything extraordinary...not to me anyway
