Left my current job because the dept management is terrible and I don't want to keep bailing water from a sinking ship.

I’ve done an exit interview before. I wonder if my current employer will do that

If companies were actually interested in listening to their employees BEFORE they get burnt out and decide to leave that would be nice… It seems to me that the exit interview is often nothing more than a free troubleshooting consultation for an organization that wasn’t willing to invest in their own employees growth and development 🤷🏼‍♂️

If I share the correct problem during the exit interview, the manager would not give the reference any more. Please advice

I didn't do mine because I didn't want my boss to have more ammo to lie about.

The company only wants to conduct an exit interview to protect the company and not address or fix any issues. Do not give any feedback.

What do you say as a reason for leaving a job when your place of employment was becoming highly unethical and states as such on BBB. I had to walk off the job. I even tried talking to upper management before it got to that point. Things only got worse. My integrity will not be tainted.

B.S. 💩 Been hearing this lie my entire life. (Decline, decline, decline) exit interviews. What are they going to do if you refuse? Fire you? Employers never give a good reference, based on a polite exit. These are just mind games they play. If you are exiting, it's because the job sucks & you're moving on. But don't forget to give two weeks' notice !! Yeah, Bite me!!! They'll never give you, two weeks notice before letting you go.
