This track always summed up the poetic dissonance of Doomguy's existence, to me. The violin strings evoke a sadness at what he is eternally fated to do - and then, the rest feels like him licking his wounds, pulling himself up, and going back into the fray against the hellspawn.

Best ending theme in all of DOOM. Though DOOM 93’ still has that nostalgic feel to it
