Philosophy of Religion: Mystery, Maturity, and Purpose of Human Life

This is my attempt at doing philosophy of religion in a T-shirt! I call this the most general question in the philosophy of religion as it tries to come to some sort of conclusion on the ultimate questions. It would be nice to have a conclusion that ends with a knowledge of God and with an assurance of God's existence that is absolute. But I conclude that the purpose of life is not to have any such absolute assurance, nor even to have a pleasurable life, but to find inner capacities that can perceive higher values. These higher values help guide life. A sense of mystery is more than just an unknown, mystery is a fruitful possession that opens a field of meaning and compassion. Mystery has a purpose and function in human consciousness.

I believe in God (higher power) but I do not believe in organized religion(s).
