hello description readers!! welcome to another video where i talk nonstop for 19 minutes straight!!!
some people have contacted me asking me what the process of making my site was like--- i used to work full time in web dev (need to clarify i am of average skill LOL) and i felt like it would be fun topic to talk about, albeit pretty generally! one of these days i feel like i'll just straight up making a programming course (this is a joke please don't make me do this)

u might have also noticed the videos/activity slowed down a bit this month and the last, things in my personal life have been a lil bit heavy; i also lost a loved one very recently, we're all kind of going thru it, but i am luckily still surrounded by many supportive people i love very much. thank u all for the patience and the support, a lot of the time it feels more than i deserve!! hope u guys are having a great April so far, please always stay healthy and safe 💗

Figma balls. I almost wanted the video to suddenly end there, as if the whole thing had been leading up to that joke.

I love the clicky doohickey noises of the website

I may have missed the golden years of the internet, but I love that people are looking to create a balance between the creativity that was there before to freely express interests and information on personalized pages, but mixing it with more modern touches, it's great.

I think your website is great, and I specifically like the way it combines both "modern" and 2000s design aesthetics! It's refreshing to see a website that isn't so corporate and bland

I’m a software engineer that was just asked to provide a complete refresh of our main internal website. I absolutely love your approach and design. I’m not sure my team would approve of the cutesy feel, but personally it’s a breath of fresh air. Thank you for taking time to make this video :)

Thank you for taking the time and explaining gently. A lot of people want to be loud and flashy about the creative process and that makes it incredibly difficult to learn. Your gentle, calm, and soft energy is such a blessing. Thank you for sharing your process.

I don't do any drawing or animating, but your videos are so calming that they're nice to relax to

As a web developer myself, this is very interesting to watch. I'm technically employed as a "application developer", who just so happens to be working on a Web application. For my team, functionality is the focus of the website rather than the design; we specialize in database design and api implementation. It always surprises me to see the difference between application developers, and web developers/designers. You'd be amazed how few "web developers" know intermediate HTML and CSS- yet you show excellent mastery of both, and your website looks so fun! Most of my team relies on frameworks and CSS libraries to make our sites look presentable.

your website is actually what i've been looking at the most for my own personal website, and the idea of coding everything from scratch stressed me out. so learning more about libraries makes the project feel much more achievable than before.

I've learned a lot more about personalized web development from this video alone than my whole time in university doing a bachelor's in CIS. The way you condense the concepts into digestible pieces of information to build on is something we need more of, especially in spaces where it can feel obfuscated, overwhelming, and ultimately less fun. Also your passion for making these videos shows so loud and clear that it feels as though I'm watching someone's personal adventure and makes even more fun to learn from. This was really good!

Fully expected this to be a "sponsored by wix" kinda thing but this was so cool!

your videos always make me inspired to jump into new projects, even if i don't have a ton of experience with them. cute games, fun websites, your creative drive is infectious and laying things out step by step the way you do makes tasks feel a lot less daunting!!

As a software developer who's been in the industry for 5 years, I can't express how much I was in awe when I found your site while bookmarking every Twitter artist's portfolio site I could get my hands on.

I just couldn't stop smiling on how you designed the thing and made it fun to click on every button. Absolute chef's kiss

I've always loved your website!!! It's so cool you can make the windows move around!
I only know CSS and HTML, so your skills look like wizardry.

I love what you did here! I share that passion to bring back the whimsy of the old internet without the awful tech. I designed my current personal website in 2017 and have really wanted to jump back in and make it nicer with all I've learned since.

Thanks for the inspiration!

I miss this so much, the internet was so customizable and full of personality and life! I remember making websites for my photos among other things, and random little blogs on blogspot when I was a kid, I miss that internet.

ALSO THAT"S SUCH A COOL WEBSITE MY GOSH!!!!
