Amazing Aerial View of Masada in 4k - Drone Cinematography by Jeffrey Worthington

It was an honor to be allowed to film over some of Israel’s priceless archaeological treasures. Special thanks to Israel's National Park Authority.

Flying solo (i.e. operating the drone and the camera alone) was a huge challenge, especially on a windy day!

Fantastic images from Masada. To build a citadel on such a mountain must have been a titanic struggle for King Herod's workforce. The Romans were a determined bunch too. That ramp was built in desert heat over many months.

I went there in 1981 and 1983; took cable car up and walked down Roman snake path; unbelievable place; I have wonderful photos

In the background you can see the Dead Sea. It is at -430 meters, while the plateau of Masada is at +58 meters above the world sea level.

I will defend Israel’s 🇮🇱 right to exist until my dying breath. Masada is one of my favourite places in the world. I will climb it at dawn again. Just like Alpha Blondy’s reggae song about Masada, “I will rise up with the birds from to East…to clean up my sins”. I will climb Masada again for the third time. I first climbed it in 1999 with my good friend, Nyima Sonia Bieber from Santa Cruz, California and I climbed it again in 2012 when I was pregnant with my son.
