Here we learn flex ableton beats with shuffle and swing using the Groove Pool. We also learn to extract grooves from other material and apply them to audio or midi clips. Finally we learn a wacky technique to apply subdivided rhythms as grooves to our straightforward beats for broken beat bliss.

I just purchased Ableton Live. Highly recommend a new user watches ALL OF THEIR ONLINE tutorials. I'm halfway done and it took me 3.5 hours. That's what led me here to learn more about Groove Pool and this information HERE in this video really helped me even further to understand the Grooves feature. Going through Ableton's tutorials really helps a new user understand what's under the hood and build a solid foundation to learn in the right categories. Sitting here looking for Groove tutorials while working on a song writing class and I stumble across this video. I was hoping to see a download link to those MPC grooves, but instead, I found out that you're part of Papadosio! Mind blown! "Find Your Cloud" is easily one of my Top 5 favorite songs in this decade of my life. That song never fails to elevate my mood. If I'm down, I feel better; if I'm already happy, I become happier. Man, I can't tell you how much it's helped me through the pandemic. If you ever make it to San Antonio... or even Austin... I'm there!

10:20 into this tutorial is so inspiring to me. Can’t wait to try using my beatbox skills to apply organic grooves to electronic experiments. I’ve been using audio to midi for this to get tempo changes and melodic notes, but being able to capture the exact feel and instantly apply it to any audio or midi is the bomb 🔥

BTW the 18:40 next level beat is so wicked

Nice! glad I found this one, I had the simplest of understandings of the grooves. As always you showed concepts that really will help in the journey. The "mouth hats" really did it for me because most of my ideas begin as a recording of beatbox and humming.

Hey thanks a lot for the tip of using beat boxing to extract the groove and apply to midi. I record rhythmic ideas on my phone all the time and now I have a super quick way of transforming that to a midi clip. Brings a lot of live into a groove!
