My mom was a big fan of Charlie Chan, and I can see why! I like a well-written mystery, and I love the character of Charlie Chan, so I'm also hooked. Thanks for putting this film out there!

Oh and another thing-the butler called Pamela-madam. Wow, just noticed but please know I love these movies and am very grateful for them.

Love Charlie Chan---and Warner Oland was of Mongolian descent, even though he came from Sweden. Hardly any makeup needed!

World War 2 was still a few years away when this came out.
It's a little eerie. My grandpa, who died of old age in 2000, was like 10 when this came out.

Not sure if this movie needed the counterfeiters to be working out of the sewer, especially one that's show here to be so accessible by anyone. Still, it's a good story line with the bank employees involved, and the creation of a fictional character (Xavier) for deception purposes.

Did anyone other than me wonder why the storyline did not allow for the clerk who helped Pamela Gray find Charlie Chan to invite him to the restaurant to celebrate Paul’s release?

I love Charlie Chan it's too bad he was played by a Swede, a Jew, and Peter Ustinov instead of an Asian
