Thank you so much for all of your videos. I am almost one year into my pottery journey, and I have found your type of instruction the most useful of the many, many potters I follow closely.
I have a question about the sequence of trimming in this video. Since the rim ends up so thin, what is the reason for trimming the rim first and then putting the weight of the vase on it to trim the foot, rather than doing the foot first?

This was very informative thank you! I will definitely be using these tips for my ceramics course next semester. I did have a question though, have you ever made any “sculptural” work before? I’ve done it for two semesters now but don’t enjoy it as much as wheel throwing and trimming. If you have any sculptural work is it available to see? Thank you for such a lovely video :)
