In the future of Earth, there is a big problem with crops and a second Dust Bowl, which is making the planet not suitable for living anymore. Professor Brand, who is a very smart scientist at NASA, is trying to come up with a plan to save humanity. The plan involves using a special tunnel called a wormhole to take people from Earth to a new place to live. But before that can happen, Professor Brand needs to send a pilot named Cooper and a group of scientists through the wormhole to explore three different planets and see if any of them could be a new home for humans.
