Conditioning an E Collar for Recall

I sent my 3yr old poodle to a board and train program and she’s an absolute rockstar bc of it, now I’m trying to DIY my 4 mo old and these videos are very helpful. I get the basics but am trying to find a trainer w/ a virtual program

as far as timing, you zap, then call? or do you call, and if no recall, then zap? or do you just zap and then call whether they respond or not?

Why dont you use the beep for recall? But instead use the stim?

My dog freaks out and thrashes around when I try doing recall drills with her. We're on levels 4/5 out of 100 and we're using the mini educator.

How do you differentiate this from a correction? (I do not use ecollar, only vibration and beepers). I know people use stim for a correction or a redirect cue but never as a recall. Do you use different levels?

My dog always comes with a leash.. off leash is the problem

Cool but will not work for most dogs. Most reactive dogs won’t even eat a treat if they’re locked in on another dog…then what?
