Wish I'd seen this sooner. I attached the mounts first as it's a LOT easier to drill/screw that way. But then I had to take 'em off. Sigh.

FYI That handrail is not per code. Hands must be able to grip throughout full travel. No interruptions in between.

You must measure the height of the rail from the *nosing line.* You "guessed" by putting your tape somewhere close to the middle of the tread (2:23) and the tape isn't even level. You're good at selling a stud finder but terrible at installing a rail 👎. Sorry!
