It's interesting that for a coaster from 1983, its large airtime hill and twisted airtime hill resemble those found on modern hyper coasters and the Intamin mega-lite specifically. Combined with Schwarzkopf's feeling for heartlining, this thing was really ahead of its time!

I've always loved the appearance of the Schwarzkopf tracks; the thick with huggers look. And the sound of a train running on them is a big passionate purr. Wonderful. I have never seen or heard two trains running at one time. So yes, I wouldn't mind seeking out, Alpina Bahn.
Thank you for all the beautiful video presentations, the details are terrific!

It’s unique seeing these types of coasters with no loops

Loved the review! Always love that Schwarzkopf coasters tend to seem immortal lol. They’re literally pieces of coaster history still standing. Not really relevant to this ride, but speaking of positives, I’m morbidly curious how that vertical loop on that really old wooden coaster was. The one that pulled 12 Gs of force and caused injuries lol. I’m sure Canobie knows the name of it.

I actually have that photo from ride brochure "Himalaya" Weiland Schwarzkopf signed it. Germany + most European parks "don't PLAY" when it comes to operations. The fairs "make" their $$$$. A testament to fine German engineering Anton's coasters are 40-50 years old and still running strong! AstroWorld had a "trio" of his at one time.

There is few things I love more than sustained positive Gs on forceful turns and Schwarzkopf does that best. If I can bring back 1 defunct manufacturer, it wouldn't be CCI or Arrow, it would be Schwarzkopf, this is a ride that just cannot go. I am very sad these Schwarzkopf coasters are dying down and seeing stuff like this really makes me happy.

I LOVE all Schwarzkopf Coaster there the best compared to some the new modern ones. I love the G's pulled through the Classic Schwarzkopf loops.

Faller is a German based company that offers model rail road accessories primarily in HO scale. They have a line of HO scale amusement attractions that are high quality and very detailed. One of the offerings from that line is/was the Achterbahn which is based on this coaster. The layout on the model is not as long and elaborate as the real one and the cars are not locked to the track. But, the model captures the detail and styling very well. It even has the ability to add a light package similar to the real one. I had that model at one time but I never finished it. I did finish it enough to see to operate. The mechanism implemented by the model to simulate the curved lift was pretty clever. Many people have post videos of the model on YouTube for anybody that's interested. It's not surprising to me that a coaster that was built to be disassembled, moved, and reassembled over and over again would stay smooth after being disassembled, moved, and reassembled over and over again. I love the light package. We had Thriller at AstroWorld for a few years and I was disappointed they did not use the light package while they had it.

Europe: our coasters are weird as hell, yet amazing!

I really like your detailed reviews, you always can imagine pretty well how it would feel to ride it. Fun fact: This coaster was designed by Werner Stengel and it was their first try to create an airtime hill

it's wild that a traveling coaster has better theming and capacity than any given six flags coaster

I hope the triple loop at Indiana beach is getting these new trains. Since that ride is more aggressive, I doubt it will just have a simple lap bar.

Faller makes a working model of this coaster, though with a shorter layout. I have one from 20+ years ago that my dad had bought me, but mine is color schemed after the Achter Bahn version.

I have ride this coaster a few times. Thriller coaster was also a great one but that one is no longer travelling on carnavals

It seems like a pretty cool ride. How does it compare to Jetline in Sweden?

If I ever star a traveling carnival I’m buying this thing as a star atraction. And it would be on a wristband. It’s weird they don’t have a wristband

Kinda reminds me of a traveling version of Lisebergbanan!
