My top 5 of the year-end evaluation of 1982:

1. Daryl Hall & John Oats - "I can not go for did (No Can Do)"
2. Chicago - "Hard to say I'm sorry"
3. Men at Work - "Who can it be now"
4. John "Cougar" Mellencamp - "Jack & Diane"
5. Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes - "Up where we belong"

One of my favorite years for music. A lot of my all time favorites.

Does anyone else remember that Care Bear commercial that like sampled "Physical" on Cartoon Network like 15 years ago?!

Part of the reason for the length(but certainly not the only one) reason for the lengthy runs for songs at #1 was that the music industry was in a slump at this time and really didn't come out of it till late in the year.

I feel the sound is not very clear on the music videos. Also some are not loud enough.

Hm with "Human League" and "Hall&Oates" you hear that the influence of the 70s get lost. It's more 80s now. Not all but mostly.

Featuring two groups who belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Chicago and Hall and Oates. Could've done without that "Mickey" song. Horrible!
