THE WATCHER IDENTITY REVEALED? | The Chosen Season 5

Dallas Jenkins may have just spoiled the identity of the Watcher in his latest Instagram post. Who is The Watcher in the Chosen Season 5? Watch till the end to hear my theory!
The Watcher was introduced at the end of The Chosen Season 4 starring Jonathan Roumie as Jesus during the resurrection of Lazarus. The Watcher will return in The Chosen Season 5, possibly in episode 1 or episode 2.

Yes I think Mark is the Watcher. As soon as I saw the stylus and tablet in his hands it dawned on me. Mark was essentially a boy, and the actor playing the role has a few more years on him than what I’ve imagined Mark to be.

Interesting conclusion, the only thing I’d point out is the box he is holding isn’t a box. It’s a wax tablet. Paper was really expensive and didn’t travel well, so they would carry these tablets with cold wax in them, which they would then carve into the wax. When the message or writing was transferred, they’d reheat the wax and start fresh. You can actually see Matthew carrying one in a few of the episodes as well.

I was kinda thinking that the young boy, Telemarkus, who gave Andrew the 5 loaves and 2 fish at 'the feeding' was going to end up following them and everyone would call him Mark for short.
But I think you could very well be correct about the Absolutely love The Chosen! :) :)

At first I was thinking Luke, but you're right, Luke came later, and got his info from disciples, I think. Then I thought Mark, and this seems to make sense. Good explanation. Can't wait to see Season 5!!!

If the actor was a teen, we all would have caught on sooner.
Considering that I know of several young men that at 16 "looked" so much older, yep, he could very well be John-Mark.
Would really like to see some interviews with this actor and how he came to be casted in The Chosen.

I absolutely agree with you! I heard someone else on a YouTube channel. Say it was Luke. But I disagree with that. Luke came much later and he was not an eye witness like you said. It’s so funny how the writers describe themselves. Mark really was a watcher, which is why he almost got arrested. Also I believe Mark was young and immature. That’s why he could not take the missionary journeys with Paul seriously in the beginning.

Great guess, though I don’t think it’s correct. I’ll talk about it on stream tonight, but there are a few things in that point in a different direction when it comes to Mark. We’ve actually seen Mark in the BTS almost certainly.

I'm thinking the man could possibly be Zacchaeus. Because the writing tablet thing could hint that he's a tax collector, because Matthew had the same thing. Also the fact that he was wearing a covering on his head could mean that he's possibly hiding himself from the crowds.
