Katy Tur has an interesting perspective. Watched her interview with Chuck Todd on her beginnings with the Donald Trump campaign. Many correspondents will come up with awards after this is said and done. OR, they may be dealt with in the same way Putin, Erdogan and Pinochet have. Our future is now 50/50.

Congressman Costello: If your constituents feel that the president is a victim, and you know that he's not, you have a responsibility to sit down with your constituents and walk them through the details. That's the only way this resolves: through face to face meetings in which the facts are hashed out and shared.

p.s. I respect folks like Costello and Kasich, who are willing to speak out--even if I generally cannot stand the Republican Party for what it has done to this country.

Nobody should be defending anybody or anything because of how the rest of their party feels about it. We say what we feel because we believe it, not because we fear how others are going to respond to it. We don't know what's going to happen. But if it turns out that someone somewhere is guilty of something then it should be said so, regardless of what your state believes. In the end it is only the truth that matters and that the innocent and the guilty Are defined. Sometimes we vote for somebody that may end up doing something different than we want. And yes, sometimes you take a risk. But in the end, it is always the truth that matters.
