My sister in laws Dad was a Polish para and captured at Arnhem. He stayed in the UK after the war.
This little film is probably more accurate than a lot of ww2 films as they even reload, more than happens in a lot of films.

My great-grandfather had fought in WW2, he's polish like me. He was in german-occupied Poland but he wants to escape so he robbed a bank to escape the country to get to England. When he got to England, the English soldiers considered him as German but luckily he is stopped by a polish officer and joined the army.
