Israel-Hamas war protests intensify in Ohio and nationwide | Sound of Ideas

At Case Western Reserve University, at the Ohio State University, and at dozens of other universities and colleges across the country, students outraged over the Israel-Hamas War have set up encampments and joined protests calling for a cease-fire in Gaza and demanding divestment from Israel. Critics have called some of the protests antisemitic and a threat to the Jewish populations on those campuses. We will talk with reporters covering the demonstrations.

Later a conversation with an eyewitness to the May 4, 1970 shootings at the Kent State University campus which left 4 students dead and nine injured. The current protests are bringing back echoes of that day as the 54th anniversary nears. (Air date: May 2, 2024).
