I’m telling you… speed is your friend… you need to be going probably double the speed you are

I would go faster. Seems scary but when you consider the rail is over in half the time, you have to balance less. Throw your arm over the rail if you need counter balance.

don’t be afraid to fall brother. you have to fall in-order to rise. high risk leads to high reward (i trust you are a safe guy judging by 2 videos i saw, you got this). P.S. would definitely like to see the progess on this

You should ask how to fall, and how bad a fall is on a full commit. I feel like knowing what the worst is, makes going full send easier

As a former semi-pro snowboarder, his advice was pretty spot on

People are either naturally good at FS boardslides or BS boardslides. You’re definitely FS Boardslides guy, respect the effort and chill vibes😊

I know this sounds dumb, but I unlocked rails by taking an old snowboard, strapping in, and jumping on and off a log in my backyard practicing all kinds of tricks. After doing this, I felt so confident on the real thing, and I learned how to do board slides and various tricks on rails in one year.

It helps to learn the trick on a box first and then take it to a rail. Also...if the rail is under your back foot it's a frontside tailslide, in the middle a frontside lipslide and under your front foot it's a frontside noseblunt.

An indo board makes practicing this easy. Really helps you get a sense of center of gravity and how far you can lean a board out on top of a rounded surface

Edit: its basically a skim board on a roller that helps with centering balance and practicing shifting the weight from both legs to one leg

You’d be great at frontside tail slides on a skateboard

🚨Trick Nerd Alert 🚨 That is actually a FS Tailslide or Blunt (if you flex it)
If you want to lipslide, throw your tail over the rail and land more on your front foot. Either way, fast and dangerous my friend!

Try to get closer to the rail when you pop from your toe edge off the kicker. I can’t do 720s like you but lip slides come easy to me.

Just gotta be a little bit more over the rail

I always thought front foot was easier to stick to the rail/box

Start with shiftys over the rail. Hold that shit and take a look at that rail as you come over. It will help you figure out where you want to put yourself. I honestly like smashing my board into the rail. I put the rail on the outside edge of my front foot and almost sit on it. It's feels like a sideways nose press, if that makes any sense. Make sure you keep that shit flat and commit.
