The three things that keep agents from responding are:

1.) Caring about something other than the quality of the manuscript.
2.) Caring about something other than the quality of the manuscript.
3.) Caring about something other than the quality of the manuscript.

When they finally realize that the above is all that matters, all will be rectified.

I saw and watched this and realized I'd signed up for your emails. Just searched through them. You really need a logo at the top of your emails that identifies you and who you are. Your last TEXT ONLY email started with Sad to Say I did not win an Oscar. Had no idea what that was about.

Only 59 rejections?
I lie awake at night dreaming of being rejected just 59 times. I must be around 6 times that. Sigh. I'm doing something monumentally wrong. But why do I consistently get 5 star evanescent and gushing reviews. It's very disconcerting.

Are agents prejudice against certain writing styles? Does it matter if I'm woman querying a male agent or a white male querying a black agent? I'd like to believe good writing can be faceless, but life can sometimes let us down.
