The problem must specify what digit to round to. It's impossible to solve a rounding problem without a specific requirement.

Hi! I have a question, when rounding a number why do we apply the rule "we round up if the number is 5 or greater?" Specifically why is 5 considered in the greater half by default? I ask this because I intuitively think 1-2-3-4-5 are in the lower to half and the numbers 6-10 are in the greater half. I'd really like to know, thanks!

hi i'm in the nineth grade & i'm having problems with rounding numbers
for example: 4 060 705
now it didnt say round up to the rearest 10, 100, or 1000 is just said round up how do i solve that problem
