This is similar to the Spyderco LionSpy, which is no longer made and is not integral. I note you said aluminum and later, titanium for the handle material. I think it was made in either material in various releases. Over the years, I sought reliable and authoritative information on the performance of the aluminum alloy used in frame locks, but I found nothing. Aluminum, by itself, has a finite number of stress cycles it can handle before catastrophic failure. In bicycle frames from Cannondale, it was estimated to take over 150 years, but those frames are not springs. It would be nice to see something on the aluminum alloy used in frame locks, what its performance expectations are and why it should be trusted.
