Pretty much from the beginning I have searched by place but I use the world map to find it. Can vouch for the Wiki records. I found links for colonial Virginia county tax records which were very helpful for Chandler Family Association research. I've had the most luck using the Catalog search by place method. And then figuring out the best way to search microfilms. Often choosing the thumbnail view and clicking on the ones that look like title pages. The microfilm titles have sometimes been somewhat misleading.

For the life of my search I can’t find info. Where can I go?

I searched for records in Japan and there are some, however they are hand written in Japanese. There is no way I can translate them. Is there a chance they are already translated somewhere else?
