What is a Geode!? | How are they formed?

I’m not a geologist by any means, and don’t claim to be one, so here is my explanation as to what a geode is and how/where they can form! I hope this video is found to be helpful, and if there’s anything I missed or that’s still confusing, PLEASE, let me know in the comments! I strive to make the best informational content I can, and if adjustments need to be made then so be it!

That was really informative and educational! It explained the process in easy to understand terms and made it interesting and fun! Facts that i didnt even know! So i definitely think you have another winner video here and a great follow up to "how to spot a geode". Awesome video!

Thanks Tyler! A great tutorial on geodes! With our recent rains, the bumpy stones are popping out in the creeks again. Still trying to get down south of Bedford, where the creeks have more geodes than water!

I’m a novice rockhound, after watching this video I realized I have a bunch of geodes in my rock collection (never even knew what a geode was)!!!😮😮

Are there books you'd recommend? Very new into wanting to find geodes and I don't know much at all 🤷‍♀️But I like to learn. Very interesting video, I live in northern Wisconsin, according to google it looks like I might be able to find them!

I live in Central Texas. I've always been told to look at the base of old trees.

Specifically, geodes from Bedford, Seymour, Bloomington all started with a grain of sand, rolling under glaciers for thousands of miles for 20k years
