neither group is going to get everything they want, so why not get one line item each. dems get a pathway to citizenship, republicans get the southern border solidified. that said, the dems line item generates tax dollars while the border will cost billions to improve, so the republicans are going to have to live with the fact that its going to take defense spending dollars to improve the border, probably 10% of that budget to do it right.
