Yesterday I totaled my daily driver in a car accident, but we gotta keep moving, so I headed down to CT to put some numbers down on the Dyno with my 1JZ Toyota Soarer and had a blast! If your excited for whats to come smash the like button!

1000% hit boost cut my soarer does the same in cold weather with a 3.5 inch exhaust. Theres ways online to lock in into 3rd.
If you are trying to push 400+ through the auto box you will need an external oil cooler. I killed mine at 300 lol.

My dream car. I was going to get my hands on one for my s13 coupe as a trade, but had a son and went with a 91 cressida and swapped a 1jz in it instead lol. Family/drift sedan.

If you were hitting 180 then it might have been the factory speed limiter kicking you in the back like a donkey. Coming from a fellow Soarer owner, trust me, I know ;)

Taking the kick down cable off will stop it from kicking down

Speed cut bro. Factory speed cut will not let you hold gears and will make it seem like a fuel cut or boost cut. Depin SPD 1 and you'll be golden. Auto will be fine long as you have SPD 2 and speedo hooked up. You'll have an error code tho.

There's a hard fuel cut like limiter of 180km/h in soarers. Mine gets there at around ~6850rpm in third. That could be what you're hitting?

If you want it to stay out of fourth can't you just unclick the overdrive switch on the side of the gearstick?

Bigger turbos i think you can tell it through the computer to stay in third gear once it reaches 3rd not sure though but 240 is not bad at all

But the 276hp is the flywheel measurement so it would always be lower from the wheels measurement on the dyno.

You were either running into boost cut or speed cut. The ECU speed cut is aggressive and kinda feels like a boost cut. When these hit 180 the ignition cut is fucking brutal. My soarer with a HKS SLD goes well past 195 before it hits the limiter in 3rd. Typically you need to dyno the auto's in 2nd and then correct the dyno numbers. At least that's how I've seen it done
