Elden Ring: Network Test Impressions

Thanks to Bandai Namco UK/EU for the code to get into the trial network test. Here are my impressions and shoddy gameplay!

Sorry the bitrate is so bad, I wanted to record in 4K but my Elgato 4K60 is acting up and won't be recognized at all by the computer, and when it does, half the screen is glitchy. The PS5 also had the ability to capture turned off for this demo, unfortunately. So 1080p which means horrible bit rate after YouTube conversion...

Honestly one of the games I'm beyond excited for, fromsoft is one of the few studios I can have absolute faith in.

Love the chill video Gaijin. However I have to correct you that pressing R2 is just using your weapon heavy attack. To use the weapon ashes of war you would have to hit L2 while two handing it. You are right that heavy attack does quite a bit of posture damage especially a jumping heavy attack. Cheers!

Lol the game has a onscreen tutorial about daul wielding. Surprised to see so many youtubers and streamers not notice it.

Bruh a lot of people are skipping the tutorial, you are supposed to jump down. I hope From will do something about it

This is a network test not a beta or even really a demo. The whole point of it was for people to test the multiplayer be it pve or pvp, this will most likely be the games final build.

The different previews for that game had me so excited that it made me go and play the Dark Souls trilogy.
Could never bring myself to finish it before, replayed the first one 5 or 6 times and finally, for the first time, I finished it 2 days ago.

Now playing DS2 and really really enjoying it (more than the first one actually, despite all the comments about it being the worst in the franchise) and decided to play all From Software games before Elden Ring's release.

I always appreciate your feedback and content. I recently started playing DS3 which is my first official DS game that I played. I have played souls like games but, never the actual thing. I'm really enjoying the journey so far and definitely looking forward to Elder Ring.

I really like SoulsBorne and i don't agree with your opinion in some things here or even on Monster Hunter but i always like to hear your opinion/experience on most of games because you approach games with a much more casual style which is completely inverse what i do.

Ds3 and sekiro were both very colourful and vibrant. Atleast they were to me. I loved all the little nods to sekiro, demons souls, dark souls 1 and 2, and my favourite, bloodborne. I can’t wait to see all the biomes they have made because this network test area they gave us was great. I played until the very last second and I feel like I’ve been blue balled by from software. 3.5 months to go.

Also at first I thought you were just kidding about melina being suggestive but I didn’t find a single thing she said to be suggestive at all. Solaire is the closest thing from soft has come to suggestive I can think of and that is just a light hearted joke. . .

This game looks amazing! I did think it looked like Dark Souls and Breath of the Wild had a baby, and the dungeons scream DS1, which is so far my favourite in this series I only got into this year. I've yet to play DS3 but I think I will in January before this releases
