AV is a significantly better game in basically every way (minus the lack of trait rerolls), but their dev team is so bad at communicating and keeping promises that it’s hard to be excited about the game.

Vanguards has FAR more potential than Reborn does. Their emphasis on passive effects is what makes me want to stick around.

Anime Reborn is alright but ima stick with Anime Van. I just don't like the ui really and how bright it is and as you said (and many others) it's feels like AD and ALS was put together and it became AR. Even if AV keeps having slow as hell updates and bad communication, im still gonna stick with it. I just like it alot more.

The problem with AV is that it is unnecessary painful to grind, and the rewards are not worth it at all.

For example, u have 2 mythics and want to just get some rrs or some stars, ur gonna have to go through hell in some challenge stages.

The gold is also so frking rare, so it’s not even a good idea to buy things at the shop.

The devs said it’s not good to macro, but at the same time they make the secret chance almost impossible, which takes u hundreds of try to get it if u aint lucky, no 2x speed btw.

Av got huge ego devs that shittalk on their own community and release half updates, can't keep promises + no consistent buggy updates(enemy book is still not fixed from the release)

One thing I would like to mention for AR is that you can buy gamepasses with gold it really boosts the use for gold and makes people actually want to grind for gold it isnt anything I would say is major since it is only limited to VIP and Larger Inventory but i really like that and i have seen more games implement systems like this where gamepass are available for f2p players- not to easy to obtain to where isn’t worth it to buy them and not too hard to get that it isn’t worth it to grind for them hope other games start to do this

Here are some things that made vanguards down so bad in my opinion:

- The lack of communication of the devs with the community
- Less update promises (but for update 1, I think it's pretty fine),
- Item limits being very low (for example, the green essence stones limit is only 100, but to evolve a unit you need at least 25-45 green essence stones)
- Extremely hard and grindy materials, yet the devs still ban macroing while all the materials are so hard to get.
- Less trait rerolls.

These are the things that the vanguards devs need to evaluate so they have much bigger potential than any anime tower defense games available currently. When anime adventures come back, vanguards would be dead.

I personally do think AV is still the best between the two. To me it just feels better to play, theres more to do, the models are fantastic, and I like the effects more. Im not gonna dog on Reborn for not having much content because its getting added soon, but my biggest problem with the game is that it just looks… off. The colors are so damn bright and saturated that it looks sort of jarring when playing (some of the units look so out of place in some maps because of this, but it could just be me). The best way I can describe the look of Reborn is that it looks like one of those oversaturated youtube thumbnails that are made to catch attention.

YO please run this back in a couple months time! After Reborn has a couple updates and grows it would be more fair comparison.

Idc about whens updates fr, but I won’t stay for a game that releases a few things after too long of a wait so I lean towards whatever game gives the most content for long waits

Imo, Ar has BIG potential, but i can also see them becoming potential man (megumi) and wasting it, but i just really want units from other animes (also kinda good on ar for not haveing a bp yet), also he didnt mention that you can get vip for free with lots of gold (a tough grind for sure) and the luck of it being in shop.

AV people should remove the feeling of "superiority" over all the anime td games... all them don't listen, and arguably can be called too much, might be because they don't realize that AV is slowly becoming the same as any other anime td game because of how bad they are within the community

Tbh the cartoony style gives AR some flavor imo. It is really colorful and hurts my eyes sometimes, but at least it’s something fresh. It’s always dark and neon with these tower defenses. That’s one of the reasons of why ACD (rip) is so unique

Av is decent but their high quality models and everything don’t matter if they only release 1 day of content every 3-4 weeks. It will die out if they don’t pick it up. AR is similar quality, better maps imo

As long as anime reborn doesn’t lock half of the update’s units behind a leaderboard, then it can become a huge competitor to vanguards.

i think both games are decent/good BUT im having a blast with Reborn rn since my friends and i are playing it together, vanguards is pushing a lot of singeplayer content which turns me off i like the coop/multiplayer aspects of the game getting friends to help eachother in hard content or making up strategies together so all these "boss rush" nd "tournament" stuff doesn't really appeal to me since boss rush are repetitive and a singleplayer only gamemode and tournaments are a pain to do and heavily rng based(not talking about traits only enemy spawn/attack pattern nd such) paragon is an example of what kind of stuff i really like from the game, but that's just my opinion yall can have yours
