Really great video! I love seeing the examples of this technique being used in popular movies! The Aladdin example really resonates with me in regard to a book I read recently. The main character of the book comes from very little and steals what she can to get by, but she was written in a way where I didn’t empathize with her at all despite her situation. I compared her to Aladdin who despite being a thief, you empathize with him because he is a good person as shown in your example! I think this book definitely would have benefitted from trying out that technique and having the main character do an act of kindness.
