Grexit explained - with gyros

BBC News looks at how Greece could change its currency, if it decides to leave the eurozone. Dougal Shaw decided to go back to basics. In the search for a helpful image, he decided to use a kebab to explain the practicalities of a country having to leave the single European currency.

This is just unfortunate and not the kind of journalism that we are used to watch on BBC- this is disrespectful to all the people who have suffered. One is free to express his point of view, but to use food? Maybe there should be some ketchup as well for the blood of people who have committed suicide or have suffered heart attacks or insomnia or are "just" out of work and hungry. Really disappointing. BBC should apologise for this video.

the fact is, we used to buy bottled water for 50 drachma and now we have to buy it for 50 cents of euro which is roughly triple the price while the average wage remains the same (if not lower) from what it used to be when we were in drachma. personally I have no problem with going back to it :) it's Europe who will have a long term problem with it. we'll just have some rough months till we change our currency and in the end we'll be back to the good old life in our country ^_^ you people can rage aaall you want about it
