Wow, that comment about the lack of diopter on the X-Pro1 literally just saved me some cash and disappointment – thank you! I wear glasses/contacts, so having the diopter is an absolute must for me, very much appreciated! Great video in general too, of course, thanks!

These Fujis from 2012 combined with your opinion is a very nice combination, I watch this video for the third time just to get some inspiration.

I chose a third option. I all most loved the X-E1 I had, but for the bit too sluggish viewfinder refresh time, shutter release, & vintage manual lens viewfinder assistance, all of which were satisfactorily dealt with when I replaced it with my X-E2. EyE likes the trans2 sensor as much as the trans1, & the cost is in the same ballpark.
My other camera is a coplimentary gun metal finished X-T1, same sensor, bigger, brighter, wonderful viewfinder👌 A Pair That Wears Well & Suits Me Just Fine ✅

I own an XE2s and a hot shoe thumb rest made a huge difference in terms of comfort. I can carry the camera all day without fatigue now.

I have the X-M1 which has the same sensor sans the EVF and hybrid EVF/OVF but with the a tilting screen. Got this plastic tank a few years ago used for $200 with the 16-50 kit. This plastic tank is just as good as these two photo-wise.

good review, I own both the X-Pro1 & X-E1, I have Large hands & for traveling I do prefer the X-E1 with the thumb grip attached (no issue). I only use the X-Pro1 when shooting on location as it is heavier.
I also purchased the X100f when new and is my travel companion with the higher iso come in handy
I also purchased the X70 for my wife and kids to use, they like the 28mm field of view than the 35mm. I also purchased a X-T2 for sports shooting & picked up a X-E2s for a bargain
All in all, I do prefer the output of the X-Trans CMOS sensor for natural light & when working in darker area's end up using the X100F & the X-T2, love the Blk & Wht output from the X-Trans CMOS sensor (film like)

I'm looking at both of these at the moment and in a weird way, need someone to make my decision for me! I'm heading towards the X-E1 at the moment, because it's a bit smaller and cheaper, so I'll have a bit more cash to spend on a nice lens

Great job Jorge. I have the Pro1 along with the X-M1 and X-E2. Love all of them for different reasons. Since I have many manual lenses some of which are not super sharp, it always helps to focus peak them using a view finder instead of a screen. However when I know the lens to be predictible and sharp and I want to take some street shots from the hip or the curb, the X-M1 never fails me w/ its flippy screen.

Back in the day, I shot over 80 weddings with an XPro1 and 2 X-E1s with the 18mm, 23mm & 32 Zeiss Touit. Over a decade later, and having shot Leica...I just picked up 2 XPro1s to re-experience shooting them for fun instead of for work. Zeiss diopters and the f2 WR Fujicrons have made them even faster and more enjoyable this time around.

super comparison 👌🏽 🌹 just the right type of details.. as i continue to refine the essential features/functions i look for in a cam, i find that built-in flash is one of those critical functions because as the old adage goes, the best flash is the one ….

I completely agree with your thoughts. I have both cameras (since their original release) and they are fantastic. Different type of experience using each one which is why they are a joy to have. Thank you for the excellent video comparison, Jorge, keep up the great work. More of these videos will be welcomed.

Thanks to your videos, I decided not to get a x100T and was inspired to get the xpro1 today (with a 35mm 1.4) for $700 total!! So amped

I love these videos, thank you. I have an xt3 and had a couple x100, including the V, and they just never scratched the fun camera itch, so i sold them. I bought an Xe-1 and LOVED IT! Great photos, super film like color, great black and white and most importantly fun to shoot. I reluctantly sold it for the x-e2 mainly for the wifi and red focus peaking. Either of these cameras are great values and will definitely bring a smile to your face. They are lacking in nothing.

After 50 (fifty!) years of photography, mostly analog of course (24x36, medium format, large format), and some digital years too (APS-C, FF) I one day acquired a Fuji X100T, and that was a real game changer ! I immediately loved the rangefinder style, the size, the OVF/EVF, and the image quality including film simulations. After few years, the single focal length became an issue though. I was missing the versatility interchangeable lenses gives. I looked around and finally acquired a X-PRO1, mostly because it has the same sensor as the X100T. Very quickly the bigger size became a plus, and the interchangeable lenses as well ! In fact, that size of body better fit my hands. I acquired also the Fuji 35mm f2, and together with the X100T that gave me a great 23mm/35mm combination. After a while though, I realized that some of the X-PRO1 features (autofocus, viewfinder, no ND, focus peaking) were clearly behind the X100T ones, and so I decided to upgrade the X-PRO1 to the X-PRO2. I found a "like new" copy and I've been enjoying it since then. I love the focus peaking on the XPRO2, specially with third party lenses like the TTArtisan 50mm f1.2, also the 1/8000 shutter (since there is no built-in ND), the weather resistance, the better AF, the better EVF/OVF, and the ACROS film simulation. My preferred camera now ! And I cannot go out without it ! But I kept the X100T, and will ever; I bring it with me when I need a small camera I can stick in my pocket ! So, I agree with you Jorge, one needs to figure out the size and features that better fit their photography. Thanks again for your video !👍

I ordered my xe1 ! As my first Fuji camera thank you for all your tips since i only want a camera for photography only. I definitely want to try other newer cameras in the future but they are pricey!

I've owned both and, honestly, I always had more fun using the X-E1, although the X-Pro1 had a few more interesting features. Both cameras produce photos with great colour tone. Not to mention the great Fuji lenses!
