Testing Grand Touring All-Season Tires 2019: Firestone WeatherGrip

Grand Touring All-Season tires are the capable, dependable tires drivers rely on during everyday life.

Firestone’s new WeatherGrip is 3PMSF-branded, and the company claims in addition to enhanced snow traction, it is more than competitive on the road and in the wet, too. We tested it against the leaders in the segment to see if their claims stand up in the real world.

These are great tires. I have a set on my 300c awd. They handle quite well, if a bit numb. The grip is very good even in heavy rain. They also have nice grip in the snow. Excellent traction to get up and go. Just don't try to be superman. I also found them to be fairly quiet with a smooth ride. But the aggressive dread design has caused a loss of about 1-2mpg. Acceptable tradeoff. Don't believe all the negatives. But be aware they aren't for sports cars.

I’m thinking of getting these because of the price . My Normand / Nokian tires have been amazing ! Not sure if I should try and save money or go with what worked for me . On total I would save about $300-400 Cdn . if I got these Firestone’s .
