Nice place. Back in the 70’s I lived sort of off grid in a travel trailer on Forest Service land while working in the forests. We had waiter tank, propane, propane refrigerator, battery, port-a-potty, and Coleman lantern . No phones or walkie-talkie. We did have tunes and an 8 track to play them.

You need to build a wood fired hot tub.

C Camp station Zebra...lucky you. I’m envious! I passed thru Banff & Jasper, June 1968 on way to Alaska. Definitely was the most beautiful part of the whole trip.

RV homesteading! I love it. Seeds and plants and livin' off the land. Awesome. Sammie loves it too. Look at how happy she is. This is a great idea. You might just start a trend....instead of going to the RTR it'll be a Canadian VHR Vehicular Homesteading Rendezvous. Instead of directions of how to poop in a bucket, you can give info on septic systems and water collection and even FARMING! What a concept.

Hey🙋😍 will you be looking for a bike trailer(bicycle trailer would work, jimmy rig)? The more I look at the set up..I think a roof over the whole shebang...would be epic! Me and hubby r waiting for our trailer to be built...it takes forever..arg...but we get exactly what we want, including some extra insulation. If you buy compost and or mulch to give your plants some nurishment and will hold the water. It's just freaking nice to see somebody living the dream!!!❤️‼️👍☀️

What's in the cans man? Definitely get the well going if you can, big advantage.

For cell service, try a helium balloon and some wire, about 2 times the tree height above the trees; fairly cheap and you could get some great cell/ internet service; worth a shot.

Nothing beats being on your own in an isolated area, when there’s a pandemic going on! Thumbs up to you.

Looks great. I lived in rural Ontario with all amenities but love the openness

WOW That is a cool place to be, especially when there is a lot BS going on in Canada. I don't think Vancouver is the place to be from what I hear. You made the right decision to go where your at. Sammi looks to be enjoying the out doors with fresh air. Your best bet is to start on the garden so while your doing other things it can be growing. Honestly Andrew I think you are going to shock your self. Take care.

I went with one of the less expensive inReach plans. I have a limited number of messages per month, but it's mainly for emergency use.

Andrew brother- you and Sammy the pooper are directly north of me. The land looks similar. Our well is shallow though.
Enjoy the peace, tranquility and freedom.
Lol on the ax and chainsaw..we actually took a break from cutting B/C we found somebody that was selling good wood for cheap.
Stay safe.

That looks like the place to get away from it all! Get a full-sized axe and a hatchet. Your arms will thank you for the latter. Also think about getting a sledge hammer (one of my essential household tools) and a wedge for splitting wood. I saw a lot of rocks there, so a rock bar would also cone in handy, but it isn't very motorcycle friendly to transport. A large book bag or small pack would also be helpful for grocery runs. Looking forward to what y'all do with the property! Take care, and remember to stay socially distanced!
