DISCLAIMER FOR GENERAL STAFF LOSSES DATA
1) These are real people with real lives and real families who love them. Don’t let the numbers sap your humanity.
2) These numbers probably aren’t accurate but they’re the best we have and we don’t need them to be accurate to be indicative of patterns of activity.
3) All losses are estimates. Losses cannot be counted with accuracy because of the conditions on the ground.
4) Both sides would see it to be of their advantage to minimize their own losses maximize the other side’s losses.
5) Neither side releases their losses but we have enough transparency from the Ukrainian side to have confidence in they are indicative.
6) Personnel losses are hard to count. If a soldier gets injured, heals up, and returns to the front line only to get injured again, is that one loss or two? Also, how to deal with losses from PMC’s or soldiers fighting with RF from occupied territories?
7) Equipment losses are hard to count. If an AA complex involves several parts and one part gets disabled, is that a loss, or a fraction of a loss? If a tank gets disabled, repaired, back into the fight, then disabled again, is that one lost tank or two?
8) All recorded losses are vulnerable to multiple reporting. We have already seen numerous cases of multiple drones in the air reporting the same loss from different angles as multiple engagements.
9) Losses are not always reported on the same day they occurred. It is frequent that drone losses are reported at least 24 hours after other terrestrial equipment losses. Certain losses may not be reported for days or weeks for military intelligence reasons.

Great update, Jonathan. I think Budanov's assessment is very interesting, about how much - or not - the Autumn will slow Ukraine's offensive. In particularl, if the Russians have been relying on the Autumn weather to get them off the hook, they may be in for a most unwelcome surprise. Let's hope so!

Attrition of artillery comes also because the artillery is closer to the frontline. The barrels are exhausted so to use them efficiently, you have to bring them closer. Closer is in range of FPV drones ...

Jonathon, you don't need to apologize for having a life.😀 We all know it takes alot of time to put this amount of detail together. So no worries.

Almost, Every day you say there could be less than the number of reports of equipment lost, but, it could be understated as well.

Presentation. Thank you. Captions were a available to day in settings and the Ukrainian data was big enough to read.

Increased Artillery attrition may also be attributed to UAF counter battery capability and the increasing decrease in Russian capabilities in this area. Video of UAF towed artillery setting up in open fields and firing multiple rounds rather than “shoot and scoot”, speaks volumes. The additional number of rounds and ability to Retarget must be having a significant impact.

It's just a pitty that the collective west were unable to provide F-16 airframes earlier; we would have now seen AFU in a much stronger position. Don't get me wrong, they are doing a brilliant job, but they are having to fight with one hand tied behind their backs.

I'd rather be a servant of a fake Stugna than a real one. Seems more easy to carry :)

Also I saw the video about how this is truly heartbreaking to witness the devastation from above in Klyshchyivka and the impact on the fields. The toll of this conflict is evident not only in Klyshchyivka but along the entire front line. It's a stark reminder of the human cost and suffering caused by this war. What can we do to support those affected by these tragic circumstances? Let's discuss.

“Not a fan of Ford”… Jonathan, his drop goals were a masterclass! 👏🏽 Skeggy will be an education for your lad as to how the eastern region has prospered following Brexit 😂. On to serious matters, Robotyne will prove, I believe, to be the pivotal battle which is why the invader is putting every possible resource to defeat the AFU advance. Unlike the Russians, we aren’t seeing videos of Ukrainian soldiers whinging about their conditions which tells so much about the way this war will end! Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦 🇬🇧
