I wouldn't say she's bad live. I was just watching her performances with smaller crowds and she was beautiful. I think it's when she's in front of large crowds that she can't control her voice.

Jhene has such a beautiful voice. People are so quick to judge based on this. Her acoustic live performances in more intimate settings always sound down right beautiful. People just love spitting negative unnecessary feedback... And for what? Just because she's a singer it doesn't automatically mean that she's 'perfect'. She's human too.

Since I'm a singer I would say the reason she's singing like that is because since she has a light soft voice it's quiet and she has to now sing loud to be herd by this huge crowd in a open space but she could have done better.

Her music is too "mellow" for her to be all over the stage like that. She needs to just stand at the mic and sing.

This isn't the easiest song to sing and I will admit that this is not one of her best performances, but Jhene can sing. I've heard her live and it was amazing. She was clearly winded and probably needed to stand still. Look up her live in studio performance of Beautiful Ruin, its perfect. Every artist has an off performance, but that definitely doesn't mean that this girl isn't crazy fucking talented.

they expect her to be some delicate little flower but shes not. just by the way she moves and acts you can tell shes getting into the vibe and charater of the song. your in the hot ass sun, high and talking about soemone who lstress you the fuck out. I enjoyed her energy and portraying that whole I dont give a fuck  just vibe with me

"She can't sing live" BLAH BLAH BLAH. Few things ... First this is a downtempo song which she mostly sings in her lower register and she's performing at what's supposed to be one of the most exciting concerts of the year. She clearly was just trying to bring up the energy level so that the audience wouldn't get bored with her set. And I think she began to over compensate. She's more of head vocalist then a chest one. And you can see in her face she's giving it all she has so much that her voice was straining. Was this performance bad ? Yes. But you guys keep saying she can't sing which is crazy because if you look at all her acoustic performances you can see how well she actually can sing. I just think she was a bad fit for this particular type of setting .. High energy performers & rappers do better with this kind of thing. Still love her for trying her best.
