IMHO the thing that makes Elon a better "person" to achieve $1trillion is he is trying to better humanity overall. Whereas Bezos is creating a shopping network. Yes shopping/purchasing can better humanity but these are frivolous things. Elon is working on renewable energy, space exploration, AI. I personally am still a Gates fan because of his philantropy.

I think Starlink will be the most important company Elon will have once its off and fully running. SpaceX is practically flinging those little sats into orbit at break neck speeds. And the initial testing for them has everyone like me who have to use current sat providers for internet praying for full launch as fast as possible. Knowing that we could get speeds that people in cities are getting by just hooking up a sat dish is incredible for us. But the bigger market for Starlink will be global internet and the income from that will be just incredible. Countries that don't have a internet infrastructure in place are holding their breaths waiting for this to come to them. Russia and China will be stonewalls most likely but other countries should welcome this. India being a growing power would greatly benefit from this as well. Tesla is a company pushing the limits of what we accept as the norm for transportation with real and actual gains and not just concepts we see once and then never see again like other car companies. So yeah people are excited for them. But internet is something that EVERYONE wants and needs NOW. Electric cars is a market that doesn't have as high a demand. Yeah Elon might be weird, but I can't say he's a money grubbing douche like Bezos.
