But is it that simple to generate the meaningful text, let alone one that can change people's lives?
I wrote four books so far, out of those three novels that got wider recognition and translations into other languages. In this episode, I will try to program AI to write my next novel.

There is a lot of hype around AI generating novels, or writing code for entire applications. But you made a good observation that it still lacks the coherence and deeper understanding of the task at hand. I think our jobs will be safe for some time at least...

Love this episode. I think the impulse to create -the eye, the choices of a writer- are in fact so distinct that it runs counter to technology and the rational self. In fact maybe the "voice" we channel through writing is the very reason why it cannot be duplicated. I love the dilemma you present and how you went at it. Outstanding!

What is the best AI software to use for novel writing? I am a writer, so it's easy for me to write, but I'm hoping to use AI to make it a more fluid and quicker process. I'm caught between choosing between Smodin or NovelAi. What's your thoughts?

"This novel is about a deadly controversial new story" translates to "this story is about a story". In other words? Gibberish. The next sentence mentions "he" without an antecedent. Then switches pronouns to "they". This won't produce books for serious readers. Just for readers who are interested in the novelty of an AI written book.

It's superficial, out of context, fluff. It only sounds impressive when you take ONE unit (a sentence) out of context. If you actually read it as a book, it would become less and less impressive.
