LIVE: PM Modi attends National Day Celebrations of Mauritius

PM Modi attended the 57th National Day celebrations of Mauritius as the Chief Guest, where President Dharambeer Gokhool conferred upon him the Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (G.C.S.K), the country’s highest civilian award. PM Modi dedicated the honor to the enduring friendship between India and Mauritius. The celebrations also featured an Indian Navy marching contingent and a port call by an Indian Naval Ship.

Mod-ji's Navel salute during the Navy personnel's march is something I liked. I noticed it, since I was practicing the Navel salute while I was a student at Navel NCC. Nevertheless, I dont think past Indian Prime ministers had adopted such customs as the Air Force salute for Air Force parade, Army salute for Army parade, and the Navel salute for Navel parade.
