The Nigerian prince I met online was a really nice guy! I'm still waiting for the money he promised but he was very friendly.

As an American, my favorite thing about my Nigerian friend is the creativity of his insults. Bro is on a different level.

As a South African, I agree, big difference between "not feeling safe" somewhere and "not liking it somewhere"

As a Greek I can confirm that we have many dress codes for specific places. But no one would arrest you for the damn color of your skin. And honestly, I don't need to mention once again how much Greeks don't give a damn about what color is your skin as long as you are an law abiding tourist. So In churches (old and new) your clothing must hide at least the knees and the tip of the shoulder and it is forbidden to wear a hat when inside, while when someone is visiting any archaeological sites (mainly museums but also external monuments such as the Acropolis) the clothing must be modest as in this way you show respect to the remnants of an ancient culture.

Greece: "You are arrested for indecency"
Her: "I am arrested because I am black"

If you manage to get arrested in Greece for indecent dressing, you've definitely made some hardcore choices. I regularly see tourists in front of our local elementary school wearing only a bikini. And nobody even complains.
The only place in Greece where not covering yourself up can really get you into trouble are monasteries and churches.
So if she insisted on wearing that dress when visiting a monastery and refused to cover up when the responsible person there told her she had to, police showing up would not be weird. And that doesn't have to do anything with skin colour.
I've seen tourists becoming aggressive towards the people in charge to tell them about proper dressing and behaviour in a sacred place unfortunately.

Nigerians are poetic with their insults it’s amazing honestly

As a frequent traveller to Greece, I can say with 100% certainty that the reason she was arrested is more than she says. She definitely tried to wear an overly revealing outfit in a monastery, refused to leave and then was removed from the area by police. Happens a lot.

Nigerians are straight up some of the realest people I've ever met. They won't hesitate to tell you how they feel which I honestly respect. The insults are creative af too so that's fun. Watching a Nigerian get pissed is an experience to behold. They're really sweet people and the culture is awesome

As a balkan person, I can guess that they looked at her because, well, there's literally no black people in the balkans. Up until I was 12, I only ever saw black people on TV.

"I've never had the luxury of being well-travelled." Well, the most relatable sentence on internet today.😂

I worked for a Nigerian doctor for 3 years and he was literally the nicest human I've ever met.. However, he had the uncanny ability to politely call me 'my dear' while pointing out the idiotic things I would do and say in a very sweet but 'you know you sound like an idiot, right?' Way. 😂😂
I had never felt so insulted yet comforted at the same time. 😂
