This is the comparison that I need. Thank you for the review! 💕

Can you do more of the photo comparison too please on the next video?

Ooo the zv1 is so tempting!! I have an olympus PL-7 and it’s great but i don’t really bring it around with me because I’m stressed about the lens and it’s dense for a little camera the screen also folds down so you can’t have it out on a tripod which is so annoying 😩 if I could get another camera I think I would get the zv-1 it seems so convenient!

Love that I got it and love that you are offering videos on it.

I sure like your videos (guitar was too much for me here though). There were good examples of the differences that confirmed what I was thinking. My friends say I should upgrade my phone rather than buy a ZV-1, but my phone works just fine for a phone and taking informal shots of my cat. Your other videos have also convinced me to consider a MacBook with the M1 chip.

Smartphones will get there in the end, but there is a nicer image quality from the ZV-1 if you work a little bit with the settings. Great video!

for a beginner standpoint ...i needed a camera with beautiful range of color for art purpose, point and shot . instead i buy the zv1 thinking it's enought ...then i doubled the price becus i needed batteries, memory, tripod, stabilizer, lights etc the color is not so beautiful, you must learn alot how to get the right settings, white ballance was useless cause during the day in the studio light is changing all the time, focus of this camera since is a static scene to be filmed, ,,must be always set etc if i knew i would have chosen a cellphone or one of those little camera go pro or a Insta360 GO 2 .great video btw

What if you put the iphone camera in "Portrait Mode" at 6:02? That provides the blurry background. (I know there is a technical term for that..but I forget it) Love the videos, although I'm not a youtuber or video person :) I'd vote iPhone because it is already in my pocket

Really enjoyed your video. Thought your delivery was very friendly and informative from your perspective. Interestingly enough, I've gotten both the iPhone 12 Pro Max and the Sony ZV-1 within the past month. Additionally, I am working on things to begin a weekly vlog soon. I wholeheartedly agree with you on both the fact the iPhone does very nicely on sunsets, is also waaaay too sharp, but is handier in the pocket. I disagree on the similar stabilization. I am able to use the iPhone more smoothly and find the stabilization on the ZV-1 sorely lacking, even with the Advanced on. So I bought the Zhiyun Crane M2 gimbal to stabilize. Admittedly it also makes it more bulky. The learning curve on the ZV-1 is MUCH steeper than the iPhone, something to which you alluded. But I've spent the past couple of weeks viewing all the Youtube vids I could on it and that's how I found your video here. I think I'll subscribe to see how you do. But honestly, I have to tell you that I'm not sure either of these two devices will match the excellence of my DJI Pocket 2 creator package for ease of use and pocket handiness. We'll see. The advantage the ZV-1 has over the Pocket 2 for me at this point is that it a hardier machine, which is important when traveling, so I'm pretty sure it will get lots of use. Thanks again for the video and you have an additional subscriber now.

How would the ZV stack up against a 4K Panasonic Camcorder (which I have, and it's about 4-5years old)?

Can you please do more vids on this VZ-1... lately I've been more and more keen on this cam instead of the a lot more expensive A7C

I have a Sony zv1 and it's so amazingly good
I also have the crane m2 for stabilizing, to be honest without Gimbal the footage would be shaky!
the most problem with zv1 is sending my footages on social media right away like Instagram stories because first, I have to send the footage to my pc then edit it and resize it and then post it for just a simple story it's too much work I guess ( LOL )
but with my iPhone, I just point and shoot and then send it everywhere
overall I use my zv1 for my talk head videos and also vlogging and shoot some dope ass Brolls during my travels
but for my Instagram stories and hurry situations, I just use my iPhone
let's say using both is the best thing
thanks for your content :X

I have a iPhone 11 Pro right now so I kinda have to choose that haha, this Sony one is very tempting though but I just intuitively like to pull out my phone instead. I’m so lazy haha.

You forgot to mention an important difference between those 2 Devices, the ZV-1 has a 28-70mm lens that Will do much better than those iPhone lenses at any focal
