Nice, thanks for sharing the tip! I'm now thinking of modifying the script so that you run it with multiple target layers selected, and a modal asks for the source layer ID – so you have one click (and a short number to type) to copy and paste effects from one source layer to any number of other layers.

Hi Nate, just wondering if beginUndoGroup function is available for Premiere Pro as well or if there is something similar available on that side?

actually thats not bad, but you could also just click the effects window of the layer. But this does help me with something else

Hello, Nate, thank you for tuts you're sharing with us.
I have a problem, I was practising coding and I repited your code completely identical, but when I run it, instead of copy effects from top layer to bottom layer, it creates new layer with effects, so eventualy it looks like this: Top layer with effects, second layer(created with script) with effects, third - empty layer.
Luks like script copy whole layer instead of effects. I use AE 2021
