For everyone complaining that they didn’t get an answer, there isn’t just one right one. It can vary so much from person to person, to what day of the cycle they’re on, to what type they use🤷🏼‍♀️
So if you have someone in your life you’re gonna buy any menstrual products for, talk to them!!

Some here write they can use as few as 3, but personally I had a really heavy flow when I was younger and sometimes had days where I needed to change it at least every other hour + have a pad too to avoid bleeding through. So that’s like 8-10 tampons.

But for me now I can leave it in for 3-4 hours, so like 4-6 total in a day usually, but for most it’s the heavies the first few days and then it gets lighter and lighter😊

It depends on the woman/ day of period... Some woman would use 5 big ones on the first day. Some would use 1-2 normal ones on the first day or even less :). For most woman the flow becomes less heavy day after day. It also depends on of you're on hormonal contraception (may make flow less heavy) or for example have the IUD without hormones (usually makes flow more heavy).
The rule is: don't let one tampon in for more than 6 hours to not risk toxic shock syndrome. Some woman may strech that a bit though.

If I use tampons (rarely) I usually use 3 big ones on first two days and then 1-2 normal ones on day 3 and then maybe a small one for day 4 and done.

3 to 8. I was curious once so i counted them the day before her period (she kept track on a calendar) and after the first day.
